Course Requirements

Musicianship I and II are offered in the fall and spring semesters, respectively. These courses should be taken back to back. Music majors may substitute MUS 170 and MUS 173 for MUS 109 and MUS 110.

Piano Class I and II should not be taken until after the Musicianship courses have been taken unless the student already reads music in treble and bass clefs. Music majors may substitute MUS 172 and MUS 175. Piano Class I and II are offered in the fall and spring semesters, respectively. These courses should be taken back to back.

Voice Class I and II are offered in the fall and spring semesters, respectively. These courses should be taken back to back. Music majors may substitute MUS 119 (two semesters) for this requirement.
